Auto switch is a hot new feature
terriersc
is proud to announce an important new feature that is being added to its
high security alarm signalling system. Receiver Hot Standby will provide
Alarm Receiving Centres (ARCs) with automatic switch-over to a standby
receiver.
ARCs have an obligation to be able to reinstate monitoring
services in the event of an emergency at their prime ARC location and need
alarm signalling to be quickly re-established at a back-up location. Weve
always offered a standby capability for our IP alarm signalling system but
some form of human intervention has been needed up until now.
Now the various techniques used within the terriersc
system have been re-combined with a new feature for automatic hot standby.
Whether ARCs have their back-up facilities in-house or have a reciprocal
arrangement with another company, the option is there to have a second receiver
ready to take over at a moments notice.
We have updated the Config Server, which is the administrative
server for the terriersc
system, so that receivers can be linked together for hot standby. When communicators
cannot reach their normal receiver, the Config Server will automatically
provide the standby receiver address.
