That's great ... but can you show me?
When you are told about a new product and how wonderful
it is, your first reaction is to say Show me! So when talking
about our dual-signalling alarm communicator, it is very reassuring to be
able to demonstrate it actually working.

The 8 input IP/GPRS alarm communicator Demo unit will
connect through to our Demo Receiver which is available over the Internet
which means that it is possible to see both ends of the connection at the
same time.
The Demo unit comes with 7 LEDs operated by the communicators
outputs as well as the 12 engineer diagnostic LEDs actually on the communicator
itself. We also supply a leaflet which will guide you through process by
which the communicator connects to the receiver so you can follow it on the
LEDs.
If it can be arranged, it is best to show the full capability
of the device by using your clients Broadband (or ADSL) connection
but the demonstration is still impressive if you just use the built-in GPRS
I always point out that the GPRS connection is comparatively slow
because it takes an alarm message 1 or 2 seconds to get fully acknowledged
which is a lot longer than via ADSL.
Using just the GPRS connection to demonstrate the unit
makes life a lot simpler because all that you need is the Demo unit, a socket
for the units power pack and access to the Web. With these you can
demonstrate the monitoring of the connection and simulate Comms Failures,
sending an Alarm Message and sending a control signal to the communicator
all nice and simple but very, very effective.
