the
low-cost way

low
cost -
no charges for using an existing
broadband connection
An existing broadband connection provides a cost-free route across the Internet
to the monitoring centre. There are no network charges and no call charges
which means there are no signalling costs for Grade 2 security systems).
For Grade 3 systems our Dual-Signalling communicator uses
a GPRS connection that is low cost, fixed-rate and always-on. Most signals
go via broadband at no cost while the GPRS connection is regularly tested.
If the broadband is down, the GPRS takes over.
fully
monitored - detect
line cuts and network problems
A security system can't send an alarm if the signalling
has been put out of action. Monitoring a telephone line has always been expensive
and needs a dedicated network like Redcare. Broadband has changed that completely.
Our communicators send frequent status messages to test
the broadband and GPRS network connections. Failures are detected by the
monitoring centre.
high
security -
fully
protected
Our system utilises the latest datacoms authentication
and encryption techniques to ensure the security of the connection.
The communicator has anti-replay, anti-spoofing protection
and a power up alarm.
easy
installation - plug
and play
The small sized communicator fits and wires easily
into most alarm panels and is simply connected into the broadband's router.
The low-profile antenna for the dual-signalling communicator will mount on
the alarm panel.
No programming of the communicator is required. Most broadband
routers provide automatic addressing as standard so the communicator just
works when it is powered. Corporate networks may have fixed addressing which
can be set from a standard computer.
standards
- PD6662
and european
Our communicators can be used in grades 2, 3 and 4
security systems conforming to prEN 50131-1:2004.
The broadband connection is ATS5 and the GPRS connection
is ATS4.
