The emergency phone feature is proving useful to a council and a university who are using them to provide emergency telephones for lifts with very low running costs. Not only are the costs lower than for conventional telephone lines but our system is fully monitored so the monitoring centre can be assured the telephone is operational. A new and dedicated “Ring” button provides a simple method when dealing with a protracted emergency of calling back to reassure trapped people that help is on the way.
